Choosing a therapist is personal. You’re not just looking for someone with credentials—you’re looking for someone who gets it. Someone who gets you.

I work with people who are tired of pretending everything’s fine. Folks who are tired of carrying family expectations, relationship drama, personal pressure, or unhealed trauma—silently.

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

I Work With Clients Who Look Like Me & Want Real Healing

If you’re looking for a therapist who’s culturally aware, straight-up, and doesn’t make you feel like you have to water yourself down—you’re in the right place.

My practice centers the experiences of:

  • Black women and men who are juggling too much, too often

  • Teens and young adults figuring out who they are in a loud, judgmental world

  • First-generation adults carrying the weight of success, expectations, and burnout

  • People navigating family issues, trauma, anxiety, or big transitions

  • Those in therapy for the first time and not sure what to expect—but know they need something different

I Don’t Do Performative Therapy

Therapy with me isn’t passive. It’s not all “How does that make you feel?” with no direction. It’s active, honest, and collaborative. I’ll challenge you—with care—and support you through the hard stuff.

Expect conversations that go beyond surface-level. Expect assignments between sessions. Expect progress—not perfection.

I Work Best With People Who Are:

  • Ready to stop faking the smile and start doing the inner work

  • Open to accountability and reflection (even when it’s uncomfortable)

  • Looking for a therapist who talks with them, not at them

  • Wanting culturally relevant support that reflects who they are

I’m Not the Right Fit If You’re Looking For:

  • A “yes person” who co-signs everything

  • Super formal, robotic therapy with no humor or realness

  • Someone to “fix” your partner or teen while you stay hands-off

  • A long-term venting session with no work in between

If you’re looking for someone soft-spoken, buttoned-up, and never direct—I’m probably not your person. And that’s okay.

What You Can Expect

✔ Real talk

✔ Cultural sensitivity without the need to explain everything

✔ Practical tools to help you outside of sessions

✔ A safe space to explore trauma, grief, anxiety, boundaries, burnout, identity, and more

✔ A therapist who respects your time, your growth, and your lived experience

Let’s See If We’re A Match

Therapy works best when it’s the right fit. If you’re unsure but curious, take the next step.

Signed,

Still tired. Still trying....
